Wilderness Navigation

Navigation through the Wilderness

Navigating through the wilderness can be difficult, and could result in the party heading in the wrong direction. When trying to navigate through unfamiliar wilderness, a Dungeon Master may request a Wisdom (Survival) check to see if the party heads in the correct direction. The Dungeon Master can use the chart below to determine the difficulty of the check.

Terrain DC
Forest, jungle, swamp, mountain, or open sea with overcast skies and no land in sight DC:  15
Arctic, desert, hills, or open sea with clear skies and no land in sight DC:  10
Grassland, meadow, farmland DC:  5
