Magic Item

Broom of Sweeping

Wondrous item, common

Weight: 3 lb.
Estimated Value (Sane Cost Guide): 50 gp
DMG Value: 50 gp - 100 gp

This is an unofficial homebrew magic item. It is up to the DM if they wish to allow the item to be used in a campaign.

This object resembles a common broom, made from a small bundle of straw tied to a slightly crooked wooden handle. The broom is often mistaken for a non-magical broom, but has a small infinity symbol engraved at the top of it's handle. When a command word is spoken, the broom will "stand up" (if it's not already) and begin to sweep an area no larger than 90 square feet. The broom will move gently, as if someone was casually sweeping the area. It will move around corners and up slight inclines, but will not go up stairs, nor push objects over 5 lbs. The broom will also avoid liquids deeper than 1 inch (and will not work if placed in deeper bodies of water). The broom is deactivated when the command word is spoken again, or someone grabs the handle. The broom is quite fragile, and can be snapped like a sturdy stick (destroying it's magic) or a tree branch. Temperature of 600°F destroyed the broom (it will not sweep lava or molten iron).
